I realize I had a $1,000 deductible but my carpet was less than 2 years old and I feel that the estimate to replace was low and the fact that they took out depreciation was not fair.
Our response: We called our policyholder to explain to her how she can recover the depreciation. She did not originally understand the process and feels better now.

Roof, siding, gutter damaged on house. Roof damaged on external shed (adjuster didn't even look at it). Payment was $8,023. Full claim was $10K. Do you think $10K will cover a contractor to replace roof, siding, and gutter??? If you know one that will, let me know! And because of my claim, you raised my annual premium by >$150.
