The problem I have with how this was handled after the claim was approved. I filed the claim to get help with paying for my roof. I had part of the money but needed help with the rest of the cost. When I had to wait for the payment from Stillwater which I'm still waiting. I had to go to family for the money. I would hear "don't you have insurance?" VERY LONG NOTE. It was an embarrassment at the least. When I tell them your company name, they tell me they hope they never have to deal with them. So I'm sorry to say I don't know if I would stay with Stillwater if I ever need home insurance in the future. You shouldn't have to feel bad about filing a claim when that is what you are paying for. So now I owe family members for helping with coming up with money for my roof. That make me feel bad. I'm hoping all insurance companies aren't like this and they are there to help when needed! show less

We were told an adjuster would call us. No one did. We had to call you. We were told although it was frustrating, it would be a couple of days before someone would contact us. Wasn't until I expressed concern about all the water, doing more damage, the longer it kept rising, was I told they'd see if they could contact our adjuster. Whoever talked to us because he was leaving for the day but told the person we were talking to, to tell us we needed to get a disaster team. Right away...don't understand why he couldn't have at least called us during the day to let us know this. If I hadn't called you we would never have known this. It took a week to get a field adjuster to come. He was helpful. It took multiple calls from us, which were never returned, or we were told he'd call us back and didn't AND then when we called again to see how things were going, we got his voicemail saying he would be out of the office for a week!! Overall it took a month to find out we were getting no financial help, other than $5000 for sump pump failure which barely covered the cost to clean up the finished basement...disaster team, dumpsters, plumber, sheetrock removal etc...The whole process was very frustrating and disappointing and unfortunately we can't afford to rebuild. show less
