My claim adjuster basically told me I was lying when I gave him the amount the companies/contractors charged me. I have worked in Project Management/Construct Mgmt for decades and understand the process. I also got at least 2 quotes for each job to verify costs/compare prices and went with the lower bid. I would not recommend Stillwater to anyone. I was upset because I have been with Geico for years and have only had positive experience with them. Very disappointed. show less

The only person that wanted my house repaired in a timely manner is me! Claim check procedures are all backwards. Way too much wasted time in mailing checks back and forth to people that don't pay the bills. If you are going to keep these procedures, then mail to lein holder first or have them present check to customer first!

Water damage from apt. above. Agent said I wouldn't have to pay for anything. Not true. Original check was for $13,000, thought it was for contractor ($12,000) and $853 for estimated electrician. In the end, I received $4,000 more. I am out $10,000 for something I did not do! If I had known how Stillwater was going to treat a customer, I would have gotten a reputable home insurance company.
