This was the first time that I have had to work through a home insurance claim, so it was very stressful for me. Our flooding incident was realized late on a Friday evening. I appreciated being able to call Stillwater 24/7 and reach someone to obtain the assurance that it was OK for me to proceed with restoration that same evening. I would like to commend Katie for her courtesy, communication and handling of my claim. I do have a frustration with the process which is probably due to Stillwater procedures rather than Katie's service. I did not receive the Stillwater estimates of work required until almost a month following the incident. The nature of the incident required that I proceed with work before that time; and I had to contract separately for the flooring and other restoration work. This made it too difficult to reconcile the Stillwater info against the contractor invoices. The fact that Stillwater automatically withheld $1,500 from my claim was discouraging and it appears I will have to concede that amount in addition to the $1,000 deductible. Other than this issue, I am satisfied with the results of the claim and I thank you for guiding me through the process of getting my home back in order. show less
